Curious about how Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) works? In this video, our experts at Rejuvime Medical explain the different methods of HRT administration and what to expect during the process.

Did you know that in the United States an estimated $1.8 billion in lost wages occur every year for women due to missing work from menopausal symptoms? But the good news is,  is that HRT can help provide relief from those menopausal symptoms and help restore balance in your life. When it comes to hormone replacement therapy, one of our most common questions we get asked is, how is it administered? HRT can be administered in several different ways, and we can actually customize and tailor this treatment to whatever suits you best in your lifestyle. One of the most unique things about Rejuvime Medical is we can offer you treatment from the comfort of your own home, or conveniently, at any one of our clinic locations. One of the first options we offer are injections. Injections can typically be administered one to two times per week, depending upon your treatment plan. Injections provide a steady dose of hormones that get administered directly into your bloodstream. Very quick and effective way to get this hormone in. Then there are pellets. Pellets are tiny bioidentical hormone implants, and they’re typically placed under the skin, usually in the hip or the buttock area. These provide a long-term solution that is low maintenance and typically are placed about every three months in our clinic. We also offer oral tablets or capsules, and these are also a great option for patients because you can take these daily in the convenience of your home.  And lastly, for patients looking for convenience, we also offer topical creams. These are applied daily to the skin and will absorb gradually throughout the day into your bloodstream. However, it does require daily application for your hormones levels to get to optimal range. Each method has its own great benefits and its patient preference, as far as which method you decide to choose. At Rejuvime Medical, we will help you with this decision in order to further optimize your hormones.
